Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Extra workload

After having riffed hard working people you forced existing employees to pick up the extra workload. How is this being “efficient”? Do you honestly believe output as well as quality and service will remain the same and not be jeopardized? How is this “building better lives and communities”? It seems that it’s only better for those in corporate while the rest break our backs trying to keep up with the workflow.

Whole team was let go except for two. Those two working almost double time to get the India people trained in six weeks in something they know nothing about. I’m one of the two and am sure I’ll be next to go once training is over in a couple months.

Ahhh....what did you think was going to happen? People don't get laid off because people don't like how they get dressed for the office. They get laid off to cut opex. Follow the money.

Whoever is left picks up that workload or the company turns to automation to fill the void. Eventually the automation comes for you too.

Because no one has the guts to stand up and say this is wrong, all the managers and SVPs with a job grade of 18 through 23 are scared to speak up, They're not manager's, they're" yes" people and eventually they'll be gone as they have no way of protecting their butts. What come around goes around. See yea in the unemployment line.
