Just landed a position with a relatively small company and gave notice. The pay is not as comparable to Exxon, but I’m okay with that. I no longer have to deal with the toxic environment, its id–tic ranking system, rigid bureaucracy and the way senior management is handling downturn of events caused by the pandemic. There’s no looking back!

@1ijq+16Shx13e nobody said or mentioned utopia
there's no utopia, no place is perfect, and you'll swap one problem for another, but good luck!
@wnh+16Shx13e, there’s a concept that more people need to grasp: Enough.
Congrats I am leaving soon.. such a relief feeling, good salary but never enjoy a second talking to the lady supervisor. Good luck to all who were impacted by this unethical exercise, I am sure you deserve something greater out there!
@wnh+16Shx13e some people want to enjoy their families. I took a paycut live in a modest house with large family and spend more time helping my children develop into decent hardworking people.
You don't need millions to be happy, some people just want to live comfortably, go to church, raise a family, and go hunting once in a while. Money is just a means to live, not the purpose. There is really old book that starts with a B that talks all about how greed leads to misery.
I hope that negative emotion built inside you gets undone. You should look into yoga that has shown to help.
Double edged saying... ExxonMobil is always a good place to be from...
Money isn't everything, but try buying something without it! "Hello, electric company, do you take calmness and stress-free livin' as payment?" "No?!?!?!?!?!??!"
What company? are they hiring? did you use a head hunter?
ExxonMobil is worth more as a line in your resume -as your past- than as your present. Congratulations!

Good for you! Best of luck in your new adventures
Bye! Not missing you
Congrats @OP+16Shx13e, likewise, leaving soon! Blessing in disguise to leave this sinking stinky unethical organisation!
Congratulations. Money isn’t everything. Your happiness is more important.
