Yesterday they laid off people from the plant. It is only a matter of time for Honeywell to sell Plant 1 Microswitch and close this facility down.

Many $80-$125K per year employees can continue to sit at home thru at least 5 hours of meaningless meetings each day and collect their sweet paychecks yet be completely clueless about what's going on in the factory. They're meeting the place into the proverbial ground. The people making $30-$50K that have kept the place afloat are SOL. The question was never if, it was when. Sayonara Honeywell!
The Bolingbrook group at Plant 4 in Freeport already when through RIFs. There's hardly anyone left.
was this lay off for SPS and or other divisions? I know that employees from Bolingbrook were recently transferred to FreePort. Not surprised that Honeywell would screw these people over.
