Debbie Dial just laid off 150 people in Chicago......because the work moved to St. Louis or Dallas....because Chicago is Not a HUB City for Debbie Dial....so that everyone can collaborate while working from home due to the COVID......great all on 9/11........

They notify the lower management levels of the layoffs first, then work up to the fourth level.

5th levels (VP’s) and higher are senior management and not included in the general layoffs—they get their special packages, such as two years severance.

What happened to all that money from Trump’s tax cuts that were supposed to save jobs? It went to stock buy backs and c-suite bonuses!!!

Was this Chicago specific or more widespread geographically? I'm retired now from one of the Finance groups at Hoffman and had a large number of friends in Finance there. Mostly in the burbs or downtown?

So only Level 1 & 2? no 3+? Typical - more top-heavy than ever.

Off payroll in two weeks. No specific warning was provided.

T does not provide relocation expenses, as part of a lay-off.

A 6 month severance payment is offered, in exchange for signing a general release that waives all claims against T.

What specific finance-related positions are included in the layoffs?

Is any relocation money available to those impacted or are they just off the payroll?

Was this anticipated?
