These are two groups who will be primarily responsible for Verizon’s collapse. Verizon’s IT is most stupid group I have seen with zero business knowledge and Finance group is same with no idea what they are doing . There are so many duplicate teams across company doing same stuff and presenting different numbers

Finance transformation is a fancy way of saying cleaning up corruption

Finance transformation is interesting. They brought most everyone into two centers and they keep trying to pull in work that didn’t start out being finance but have an impact on cost somehow. Doesn’t everything impact finances at some point?

IT has always been a supply chain org, outsourcing work to unknown consulting cos.

Correct
They never got the message
When you don’t deliver solutions you deliver PowerPoints
Shame on the LOB leaders not calling them out
Everyone knows it’s a joke infosys does the work and our leaders talk about it .... and that’s if you can understand their jibberish

I remember when Hans was first hired at Verizon. In his first webcast, he stated he did not believe in huge powerpoint presentations and promised his powerpoint presentations would not exceed 3 pages. I guess our IT leaders didn't get the message.

Paradise lost 2.0. IT had been swimming up river for a few years and then the dam broke in 2018 with the Infosys rebadge. IT has become a supply chain support organization and powerpoint pushers for SOWs and outsourcers.
