This is incorrect, 6 months ago there was no 100% line of sight to the cuts, this is being reviewed on a quarterly.
However, read the writing on the wall. If they are not needing 150 offices anymore, they wont need the IT and Facilities teams etc. Sales of Server/Storage are eroding, cut the heads
3-months back list of names with position was sealed. 6-months back director level got host quote for cost cutting/head count reduction (req reductions).
so yes, they know who is on the top of the list - what they don't know is when it be called ( weeks notice ).
Wonder how soon your manager knows that you're getting WFR'd. Do they know for a week in advance or the day before. Not seeing any panic where I am.
