So, if I get left standing when would I be eligible for Unemployment? Would it be October 30? Or December 14? Or would we not be eligible because of severance?
This would be my first Rodeo so I am not sure how it works.

Moving? Just google it fool. "If you relocate while collecting unemployment, the state where you move does not take over paying your unemployment insurance claim. However, the state where you filed your claim will continue to pay you, as long as you fill out the necessary paperwork and remain eligible to collect."
What happens if you live in Texas now but plan to move out if state once you are laid off? Will that affect your eligibility? Just asking for a friend.
Yes a lot to num-nut answers. The correct answer is the day after you are off payroll. You are on payroll during redeployment. There is no reason to lie to the unemployment folks....they will be processing a surge of Chevron applications. So Oct 23 for R3 folks and Dec 15 for R4.
Man, answers here are all over the place. Someone said your eligible October 23, (before redeployment). someone said the day your off payroll (December 14)

I hope your going somewhere else to get solid advice! The layoffs is definitely not the right place.
You are eligible as soon as you are off the payroll in Texas. The severance is not considered salary for work but rather a payment based on previous service, so it has no impact on UE. Chevron will not challenge your UE and will confirm you were laid off.
You will not be eligible until at least 6 months after you’ve left Chevron. Note that CvX will be contacted for eligibility - your story must match CVX HR story to qualify.

In most states you are not eligible until your severance essentially "runs out". FACT.
Some folks get around it by lying on the form, a civil offense punishable by fines & payback of funds received, in general.
In many cases the review person is lenient and the "severance runs out" is a very short period. You are at their mercy, like with any state public service issue.

Replying to @lct+16ZkLtz5- No, think musical chairs (yes, we know its a poor choice of terminology), if you are "left standing" after the selection event it means you were not successful in the placement round. You have no job but for the upper rounds there was a chance at dropping down to a lower pay grade(s) round and competing there. But now we are in round four, the last round and if you are left standing you will be laid off.
If you are left standing, doesn't that mean you still have a job????????????????
The last day on payroll is October 23rd
You are eligible, you paid into UB fund and were let go, Severance does not factor into it
I don’t know about other states but in Texas you would be eligible on December 14th, the last day on payroll.
