Rick Perry, he’s the kind of Texas id–t who people “trust” and who makes “profitable” contacts in places like Ukraine.

Josey Wales? This outsider's methods of righting wrongs were probably a little extreme. But his form of justice did fix the world in 2 hours and 15 minutes. Hopefully you get my point

Jerry Lewis died, right?
So let's make it like the Dali Llama -
born on Rockefeller's birthday in the same state as Lee Raymond, with a red Rex birthmark on his/her chest. 10 fingers and toes optional.

All those coming to the boards to spew about amazon and other companies that PIP. If you took the time to do your research the. You would know there is a precursor to amazons pip. It’s not used to hide a lay-off. 10% practiced at Amazon is also higher than most companies that use it. XOM used PIP in a very unethical way and drastically different than what it was intended for. Lies. Typical liars spewing lies.

Nah, LR got to be Mr Fixit by cutting other peoples' escalating costs ... for DW it is all his creation ...

Do not forget. Lee Raymond (came from Exxon Nuclear...glows in the dark), made his reputation as a cost cutter in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Maybe this is the DW legacy, cost cutting.

There is a “billionaire” with expertise in manipulating public opinion an de background in anything from bankrupting c-sinos, to scam universities, to dismissiveness of experts and denial of science, and persevering despite evidence to the contrary, who’s about to look for another job come next year, who’s a perfect match for the company culture.
He’s also on board with the whole winning mentality, firing people, and has connections at the federal and state level.

Agree but I believe some of the Supervisors and Managers will also be laid off. Some will be forced retirements but that is happening already.

@nwq+16ZrAxfq - sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t think DW does have a chance anymore. Some might say that he’s been silent and absent for too long. For me, he has already demonstrated that he’s not a leader and he’s not honest with employees.

He could have told people right from the start that EM were going to have to lose people. He could have called it (and treated it like) a lay-off. Instead, he kept quiet and - I have to assume - told everyone down the management chain - to deny everything and treat this like a purge of the deadwood and wasters.

We all know that a lot of good workers, skilled technical people have been NSI’d. We suspect that this is going to happen another couple of time before it’s done. There is also a feeling that all of the toadies, sycophants, yes-men (or women) and people that spend their whole working lives in meetings are safe and will never be NSI’d. So once the 25-30% staff cuts are done, I’m not sure that the company will ever recover.

@nwq I think there are plenty of people that think outside the box today. " Proven processes" and bureaucracy k–l innovation. Seen too many great ideas DoA without any type of discussion beyond supervisors. Go to managers and get black-balled. Very good technical resources (contractors) that prove their worth, adapt with technology, and display better soft skills than some employees rarely get offered to become an employee. Instead, they have to be out 3 college grads with no practical experience to "maybe" be considered. I don't think this applies to chem & mfr sites, but definitely the GSC org

Someone who can either inspire people to think of new ways to make money or actually has unique and creative strategies to bring in new revenue.

Cost cutting is easy. How do we make new money.

Also someone who remembers we are all human...

DW you still have a chance. Have a town hall vs zoom. Answer the hard questions. Be vulnerable. let people know you don’t have a clue but you can figure it out
