Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

I am a long term employee. I have had a good career and always bled “Allstate blue.” I was proud to work for this corporation and was proud of the work that we did.
Never in my nightmares would I have anticipated a time when we would have a senior leadership group that would destroy the good will and trust of its employee base. When we would see a major initiative so poorly handed day after day from the highest levels that I would be ashamed to work for this company as it currently stands.. a senior leadership group that is so out of touch and tone deaf that they would actually play “celebrate” without any understanding what their misinformation and delay over the last few months caused.
These senior “leaders” supposedly have MBAs and training in how to lead employees through major times of change. This has been an example of what NOT TO DO day after day.
This could be an example for training perspective MBAs in what happens if simple courtesy and honesty (transparency??) are not followed during times of change...
Needless to say, I no longer trust this company. I certainly have NO trust for the folks that currently are at the highest levels....
This senior staff will get their expense reductions but at the cost of the good will of their employees and the trust that anything that they say in the future is believed.
I can understand that these same executives led Liberty Mutual and the shameful destruction of the American icon known as Sears....
I hope they sleep well....
