PIPed, vs 3 month of pay, vs forced resignation

I have been seeing that some people were offered a PIP, 3 months of pay, or to retire. I have been seeing others were told to resign or be fired. Any idea why some recieved a PIP option or 3 months while Others were told to hit the road?

I was offered PIP or resign with three months of pay. My supervisor basically told me the PIP will be unachievable. I resigned on wednesday. I talked to a friend who got the same thing. He chose the PIP. He told me about. He will need to perform way above and beyond his peers to make it through that b—s—.

Years of service is correct. if worked less than a year, there is no 3 months pay, but decision period of 7 days or 21 days are completely age based. 21 days are only given to people years and older.

Years of service most likely, less than 2 year appears to get terminated within 7 days whereas greater than 2 years seems to get PIP'D.
