UPS is ready to cancel all business with Union Pacific. They have given Uncle Pete two weeks to remedy the situation or they are DONE. Precision Railroading is definitely the problem in my opinion. They can't get these trains on time when they have 10,000 feet grain trains and manifest in the way amongst other things like lack of crews and locomotives breaking down from not maintaining them anymore.

This is not fake news! Lots of locomotive issues at my facility. I hear about it almost every night!
I wonder what would make UPS think that UPRR could/would get their act together in two weeks. It takes almost that long to track & time.

Not surprised whatsoever. I see their Z trains or I trains with UPS late all the time, junk power, DP issues, I miss the old days when the Z trains out of LA and other terminals ran nice and they had priority over everything else. PSR is definitely the problem

On time percentage was around 50% a few weeks ago. Not acceptable, especially for time sensitive shipments like UPS.
Well...i know first-hand that they're underpowered and the power that's on it is usually c-ap that has issues enroute thus ensuring even more delay. Add in all the giant trains with their own issues and velocity is in the toilet...
It's 100% real. Management in NP are coming up with a plan and creating a presentation to show the execs to try to save the contract with UPS.
