Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

AU redundancy

It’s happened in Australia (Sydney). HR scheduled meetings exactly 5 weeks before the end of Oracle Q2 (Oracle’s notice period is 5 weeks) on Tuesday of this week. Sales reps, managers, and SCs.

This is unofficial and no acknowledgement from the business, but from my observation over the last few weeks, I reckon around 10% of Tech in Australia were laid off.

It also massively happened in China and SEA. Apparently they are now gonna completely close the apps business in some regions of APAC. Its time to leave the boat (if you have not been rifted yet)

They didn’t miss India. They were the first - backed in March. Then the rest were all delayed due to Covid lockdowns.

Layoffs at NetSuite Sydney office was completed this week. Sales team I think is pretty much intact but every other work to be delivered 70% from overseas.

Sales has performed poorly consistently for 2 years but haven’t seen any shake up there.
