Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Where's IBM Cloud and IBM Security? Google Cloud wins DOD Cloud Security contract.

When is IBM Cloud going to start winning some meaningful Cloud contracts? They advertise that they are the most secure cloud in the business.

Google Cloud Wins Multimillion-Dollar Pentagon Cybersecurity Contract (see link below)
The third-largest public cloud provider has secured a seven-figure contract from the Defense Department’s Defense Innovation Unit to implement ‘zero trust’ security across a multi-cloud environment managed by its Anthos Kubernetes platform. Previously, internal dissent had caused Google to pull away from DoD engagements.

Agree with the comments here. IBM has missed the boat on cloud (and keeps missing).

2jut. You have hit the nail on the head. There is yet another piece to IBM’s cloud, and it’s a 1960’s play. Service bureaus Mainframe went to those back, in the 60’s when folks could find enough mainframe skills. Same issue different day. IBM considers all legacy hosting (on prem, or off prem) along with all of the revenue associated with that as cloud

Silly people, "Cloud" no longer means Cloud at IBM, it now means Red Hat Open Shift. Get with the program.

You are absolutely right, this IBM company I no longer recognize. These badges and certifications are useless, they are only there for the VP's and higher ups to check that check mark on their objectives and get their bonuses. These execs have completely lost it... but hey this is what this IBM company has become... totally bureaucratic, not focused on customers and definitely not focused on making a difference... F— IT!

IBMers are all busy getting badges they are told they have to get (by the VPs) rather than producing the products that will produce income and be accepted by our customers.

They are manually filling out spreadsheets for IBM internal compliance BS.
That's what's most important to IBM, not landing multi-million dollar accounts.
