Every thread on this site is nothing more than to tear fellow workers down, belittle people, create strife, creat divide/division. Very little info is steeped in reality or truth and when it is, it is already common knowledge.... you have no unknown tidbits, you haven’t overheard anything because someones door was left open. The only reality is, that a company is moving in a different direction, which is what all companies do repeatedly to stay competitive. Your feelings are hurt and so you lash out repeatedly with emotion but very little factual information. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t necessarily make it unethical.... it means you don’t agree, but that doesn’t make it unethical. It is just a bunch of miserable folks constantly stirring the pot and trying to bring down their peers with them. You create this toxic environment and you have the power to change it.
Why do you talk so mean about old heads? Most are good people with a good work ethic. I’m old. And my body hurts. I can’t do what the young guys do. I still put in a good effort and try. They used to have bench jobs for the old guys. Those jobs are gone. What do you think it’s going to be like when you are old. You will see. Good luck.
BIG meeting on the 13th. All the Big Wigs will be there to discuss this issue. All of the "Movers and Shakers" will be in attendance, including but, not limited to, high ranking Union officials and the main money lady of UP herself.

Yea, like anyone would think Trump would care anything about Jenks. That and the statement about Trump having the economy humming are very funny. Good luck to those employees from Jenks though. I wish you the best.

It doesn’t matter. trump has the economy humming along so good, most people have already moved on to other jobs. UP will be lucky if 20% go back to there jobs.
trump is aware of the Jenks situation. And he is working on it. He took care of the carrier employee’s and will take care of the Jenks employees.
AS long as Switchers are in storage Jenks will stay closed. Lots of traction motors and gens that can be repurposed to other switchers.

All this nonsense and knowbody know's anything. Last email said we would hear something the week of August 17th about if jenks will open September 1st. Rumor is second half of sept will be opening and all machinist will get called back.
Tell that to all the unemployed Carrier folks.
If trump was aware of this, he would save the Jenks jobs. Like he did at Carrier in 2016.
Cameras all through Jenks shop? Uh oh now half the shops workers can’t tale tools home. How they gonna pay bills.

They are planning on opening, when I don’t know that. I do know that Jenks got all new Led lighting through out the whole warehouse and they put in about 100 cameras through out the place too. A camera at every single bay door. So why spend all that money to not open?
If you are counting on working at the Junks shop to pay for that boat you might as well put it up for sale or let them repo it.

First week of August half employees back, then first week September should be almost full go. I don’t work at Jenks but that’s whats said. I hope so because Jenks has great workers and people.
With the current management and the sheer amount of Yes men, I would say not real soon

About 40% will be going back. Traction motor shop and generator shop mostly. Other work mostly leaving for outsourcing.
