Any bets

Any bets on the next employee take away after the smoke clears on this “first round” pre merger lay-off??
My money is on a significant decrease in contributions to employee benefits this year or next...

Oh yes, because our health benefits are stellar! Next will be pto, you know, because they aren’t microManaging as it is. They’ve taken away anything that was good about this company. And then have the nerve to want is to volunteer just to make them look good. FU!

I wouldn't be surprised to see them dump retiree medical. It's expensive as hell as it is as they only contribute like 20 to 50% to the premium but still it's a cost for them I can see them dumping it.

The medical benefits have had increased employee costs and contributions for close to 10 years now. I imagine that will continue. Pretty hard to streamline them any further as they are already pretty pared
down. I can also see PTO taking a hit.

I thought I noticed they count my contribution to my 401k as total compensation

This is the first company, in my 25 years of working, I’ve seen that has PTO as part of your overall compensation!!!!

I’m still mad that they took away employer-paid life insurance. That is a benefit that costs pennies for the company but dollars for an individual. And we’re a life insurance company. Sad.

Yep. They have cut everything else to the bone - PTO is next.

The health benefits are c-ap already, the pension will probably be gone by next year, probably serious reductions in PTO as well
