Esurance was the worst acquisition and money loser from day 1

PRogressive is garbage too. Inside adjusters last 6 months to a year. Poor time management, poor organizational skills blah blah blah . Same everywhere.

Lol Ol Prog isn’t exactly the model of integrity either, I’ve never seen so many denials or crazy liability decisions, $500 injury cash outs, it may be slightly less toxic/incompetent than Allstate but not by much

I came to this board because I still have friends who work at Allstate and they told me what is happening.......shameful...not the layoffs but the lack of communication and the lies concerning timeline...

Allstate will always be challenged when attempting to gain auto market share because there is VERY LITTLE ORGANIC NEW BUSINESS GROWTH compared to the smarter competitors. With the acquisition of National General, Allstate boasts look we’ve increased in market share on the independent agent side. Look at how we’ve moved up in rank! Really Allstate. You guys are a joke! Go ahead and pat yourself on the back for doing nothing. Oh you did do something...you spent $4B to buy business and then you threw your employees under the bus. But hey! it’s exciting times at Allstate!! If this s—t wasn’t for real and people’s lives and their families’ lives weren’t at stake, Allstate really would be joke.

It seems like you’re still quite obsessed with Allstate . I can tell you I’ve definitely never gone back to look at message boards of a former job. Maybe some hard feelings there?

Realistically all insurance companies are trash the only way to avoid the corruption is to get out of the insurance business

Read the Consumer reports expose on Allstate and then we can talk about what insurance companies “prey” on anyone...

I am also a former Allstate and current Progressive employee. The culture of Allstate is toxic at best. I don’t stress nearly as much as I did. Our company treats people like people and not numbers. Allstate forgot that. Shame on Tom and Glenn. They care only about stock prices and forget the people that help keep a company running.

Progressive is a horrible insurance company. Preying on people who don’t understand how insurance works and selling only on price. Allstate has their issues, but I couldn’t lay my head down at night if I worked there.

Erie took many some of field techs and they said it was good place to work.

Because of sub par customer service combined with higher rates starting with Liddy, Allstate has needed to grow by the purchase of other companies....Square Trade, CNA, etc.
Allstate continues to believe that a strict compliance to inflexible process is the way to go when other companies have figured out treat your employees well and trust them and they will do the right thing....
Too much focus on “process” not enough on common sense......
This leadership team knows they need to grow to please the market and seems to know that they cannot grow without purchase...

Allstate and Geico are the two worst to work for.
I have some friends who moved to Erie Insurance and they said that the stress is down and the job satisfaction is up...
They are treated like human beings........
