Be assured, aero RIF round 3 is coming. It may seem like business operations will be impossible but I guarantee you there is at least 1 more RIF in the books for the remainder of the year.

@3gk1+ - moving inventory and equipment is common whenever not in use or it may deem excess. No real sign there.
Wanna know if your shop is on the 'hit-list'? Look for those real estate people showing up at your site and various leaders making unannounced visits (pretty hard these days to do just that).
Equipment is being moved around or being inventoried at our site. Wonder why.
KS presented on the next round of suggested cost reductions. The end is neigh.
Agreed too many questions are being asked about how many military projects I am working on. No legit R&D work is going on. Budgets are being cut for projects that don’t bring savings into 2020 or 2021. There’s no intention to keep my section of aero going. I’m in the next round. Honestly, it will be a relief. I’m tired of their bs. My job is going to India before they shut it down.
I'm counting on it!! Don't let me down, mad dog!!
Round 3 has already taken place
Typically mid to late September. That way even if people have 10 weeks FMLA they can not get FMLA protection to the 401k match date.
So, if you have been putting off surgery to work all that overtime, schedule it for very late September and give 60 day notice that you are going to take the leave. This way they can inform you you will be laid off, but only after you return from FMLA.
60 days is important. You don't know exactly when the layoff date will be, but if you don't give at least 30 days notice prior to the layoff, you have no FMLA protection.
Honeywell is infamous for RIF'ing people around holiday time. Around Thanksgiving is my guess. Furloughs as well.
I have heard (but it hasn't been confirmed) that honeywell may be planning to cut aerospace from their portfolio entirely... Wonder what that would mean for germ falcon?
Honeywell is the punchline to many jokes no one laughs at... Well, almost no one.
Target census for Aero is 2 people....
Bring it on!
It’s my understanding we are to prepare for two more major layoff and RIFs across all functions and SBU’s. Very similar in size to what we have already experienced between now and the end of the year. Next being Aug/Sept and then in Nov/Dec given the global economy and pandemic.
One meeting that I attended together with some of the ALT team, someone blurted out as to how under such trying times were we to meet the objectives without revisions to the existing target planned. Answer was quite awkward where an ALT member replied, 'If you think this is hard, try the next few months where resources will be further stretched'. And, this member went on the say,'nothing is more important than to boost the moral of our people by giving more recognitions to the job they have done regardless of the outcome to keep our people motivated'.
what I took away from the meeting was a mixed feeling of keeping our people motivated so that the fact of another cost action may not appear to be harsh.
Please let it be me!!!!
