After the departure, how often will design thinking be mentioned at Ford? I’m guessing never?

Human Centered Design was very inhumane, if you consider the damage done by those "psuedo customer experience" groups sprinkling their ineligible b—s— and non-sensical word clouds in all meetings and confusing the PD teams. Poor engineers thought that this c-ap really was meaningful. After a while, smart engineers learnt to wrap their real work in nice HCD lingo and put into powerpoint slides. The teams did what they always had done. Just needed to learn how to make it sound HCD driven...
If Farley is smart, he will shrink the staffing in those staffy EPLM & HCD teams, and beef up the real PD organization. Never hire BCG consulting and blow up 400 plus million to create SRD that no one understands. Even after 1 year, people are trying to figure out who does what ?? Meanwhile, Tesla, Rivian, Nikola, Fisker, Google, Apple keep encroaching the turf.
Ford is 100 plus year old great American company. Just need to be un-shackled from bureaucracy and sycophancy. Hope Farley will figure this out quickly and get rid of Hackett virus.
Well since it mostly resulted in a visability exercise for our narcissistic management
and peers. Was a giant waste of time for those of us already buried in work. Not to mention, a source of open mockery after every All Hands or Town Hall listening to our management jockey for Hackett's attention by trying to string together as many DT phases as possible into nonsensical meaningless word salads. Yeah, tick toc until it dies its just death and we can move on from the Hackett nightmare.
The good news is we don’t have tp pay Farley a $ million bonus for NOT getting the job...
