20+ years of service and now I'm treated like an inmate. Thanks for revealing your true colours there boss man.
I will enjoy watching the ship sink.

Just because you’re loyal doesn’t excuse you from poor performance.
No company can be loyal to its employee. So remember to think about yourself first before any company.
I really can't believe threads like these. Tech workers and people in EPC companies get let go all the time. You were paid for your 20 years of service, there's nothing more to it. Don't get hung up and move on. There are many less unfortunate than you.
Three decades ago a movement led by Business Roundtable, Chamber of Commerce and YES, Federal and State Departments of Education were transitioning to using the term "human capital" to describe employees and students. It was a return to seeing people used as objects with no conscious or concerns for workers plight or wellbeing.
Don't make the same mistake of being loyal to any corporate entity again. Why should you be ? These companies will cut you loose first thing at the sign of trouble. Treat your job as a transaction. You earn your keep, do a good job. Nothing more nothing less.
Absolutely non with this outfit.
