$225k to $250k per year is a pretty normal AE/SC 4 pay range in the US. In high cost of living areas, it can be significantly higher.

4 years, so the package would have been ~2 months + (4x) 1 week = around 3 months salary.

"Less than 50k", so lets say 45k. 45k/3 x 12 = 180K salary per year. AFTER tax. If we're generous and say 0% state tax, you were on about about 250K salary. Or about a million bucks over the 4 years you were there.

Yeah, cry us a river

The standard package is 2 months pay + 1 week per year worked. If you were able to get $50k for 3 months count yourself lucky. You either got a special package or you were previously making $200k+ a year.

I also got less than that, however, the org I was in short changed everyone coming on board big time. Got screwed from a money standpoint. I'm literally elated to be out of the DELL/EMC hellhole. Best thing that ever happened to me was that I was layed off.

I'm sorry to hear this for you both....good luck! Are either of you willing to confirm if you're sales/non-sales and where you're located?

Well I got a lot less than that. Good luck finding something, it's quite challenging and it will remain this way for a long time.
