Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Angela Santone is so fake

I can’t believe she is head of HR. Full of generic buzz words, nothing authentic in this song and dance about culture with McFresh.

You heard the little blip about “restructuring and looking at our benefits structure and compensation” bit, right? That means bonuses and our discounts on services are going to get “lean”. “Agile and lean”, right? Meanwhile, I don’t even make standard market comp for my role. More good ppl will be poached by companies like TMobile/Sprint and others who are way ahead of the “culture change” without lecturing the employees with a bunch of buzzwords and accusatory wrong think.

The naivety of these leaders is beyond belief. We welcome all opinions, No you don't! You can challenge your leaders. No you can't! Focus on Customer Sat is new. No, it's not!

Nothing substantial said. Pop pin fresh is an appeaser. I liked him at first but his true colors are showing. Thank goodness Legg is here.

Santone spend most of her years at Turner, she needs to take wireless 101 and go for a few truck rolls. Don't forget the hardhat, good luck with that.

I worked in the entertainment industry, it is the polar opposite when compared to the hard nosed engineering culture (whatever is that is left in T). These people are constant self-promoters, perception over substance, has to be the "it" person in the room, well scripted and polished articulation between elevator and bathroom any where else. In another word, fake. Don't expect anything authentic, it doesn't exist.

You do not need to be technical or knowledgeable to deal in the art of identity politics as an HR policy.

How are we supposed to take this seriously when we are constantly being told surpluses will never stop? “AT&T as one”. What a joke.

Blah blah blah .... last town hall was chair legs, this time it’s ‘pillars’, ‘transformation programs’, ‘work faster and bolder’.... what does that even mean ??? For people who keep saying we shouldn’t waste time in unnecessary meetings they sure do a lot of it.
