Finally some good news in the bleak existences we call NOV Brandt. So it appears that the contract that we have been promised has finally been signed. Only now the work we thought might carry us for the next 6 to 9 months goes to a foreign vendor...not even an NOV facility. HOW do we allow this to happen, how does our management not keep our American brethren employed? The worst is that the manufacturing leaders at this sorry place are more than happy about the outsourcing...why you ask, It just may push the numbers enough to warrant a bonus payout. This leadership will gladly trade you and your families livelihood for few ringgits. Know this all my NOV working brothers and sisters this place has no moral compass anymore. Take what you can from this dying company, invest in alternative energy and use them for all you can...they will use you and throw you away with out any regards.

This place is a shell of what it was in the late 90's early 2000's. The management here is the worst I have ever seen. They do not care about anything but the $$$. Making a profit is the name of the game but at what cost? You do not have any employees that care anymore there, none that will put the company above most other things in life. The shop use to work together, they use to take pride working there but not anymore. The MFG leadership needed to stay in screens, no one respects him or think he is good at what he does. This place should just close the doors and sell the land as it the only thing of value here anymore. For you people left there, you are better than this place so I would move on the first chance you get to better yourself as loyalty is not ever going to be there again.
"they will use you and throw you away with out any regards" So true! After 26 years with the company starting in the mid 90's I can attest to the truth of this statement. Broke my heart but so very true. Be loyal to yourself first! Always!!! Don't be fooled into believing that being a dedicated, reliable and exemplary employee will mean c-ap when it comes to the bean counters and shame on upper management for allowing a culture like that in the work environment! To HELL with them!

This is for the last post as I do not care about this place. If you think Global Economy is about outsourcing American jobs then you Sir must work there and are either in accounting or MFG manager. I hope you have not procreated as you will only bring more ignorance to this world. I am sure you have attended some local swamps of Louisiana community college and they explained Micro and Macro by using Bubba Gump's shrimp business and the affects... not effects it has on the Global Economy. Everything can be made cheaper outside of the US, so we would just outsource everything if you ran the show. What a stupid thing to say.. You need to stay in the O&G as little minds like yours is what has helped ruin this country.
Really? You think this is some management team out to get you? It's simple economics. If the product is made in Conroe it costs too much to be able to get the sale so it HAS to be made elsewhere. This is what happens in a Global Economy. This isn't a management problem, and while they may be incompetent in this case they are doing what is right although maybe it was lucky based on the track record of their prior decisions.
Time to shut this place down if they cannot make their product line. This use to be a shop that could make quality equipment from raw steel. Once you put a Screen sloth in a manufacturing position this is what you get... how long did it take for this to happen 8-9 years? So glad I left before I witnessed this first hand. What a joke your managers are, what a joke this place has become.. what a sad pitiful joke indeed.
Probably the best decision honestly. Brandt had a bunch of id–ts working on the floor who can’t get stuff out on time. Outsource to actually get it done right and the First time.
