Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Be careful what you wish for..

The “sigh of relief” from those left behind will end....once the transfer of work from those laid off begins and the new work continues to roll in like a
Hurricane......
2/3 of the people to do all of the work.....
Have fun!!!

I hate to say this but....there are times I feel like only 2/3 of the people in my office do all of the work anyway. I have coworkers who when we were in an office spent a good chunk of day gossiping and refused to handle calls if someone pressed 0 instead just transferring the call without trying to help. They were getting dinged on their PDS because their claims weren't being handled correctly and people were complaining. So if that one third goes no skin off my teeth. I am already doing their job.

We know. We're not happy about any of this, nor do we trust Allstate and that we are truly "safe".

Allstate will realize after the cuts have been completed that many employees have also decided to retire, leave, take PTO in such numbers that the initial guess of 3700 reductions has turned into 7-10000 empty chairs. They will realize a loss in policy holders as those employees move their policies to different carriers and get better rates and only then will the Board take notice and hold Mr Wilson and Mr Shapiro accountable. There should be a No Confidence vote by shareholders for the manner in which this was rolled out and completed. Hope to see someone other than that midget holding up the next football championship trophy

They’ll rehire like they did 3 years ago after they figure out they let too many people go .
