Does anybody’s club also do this? It’s frustrating. Our “club-pickup/fulfillment“ spots all got filled and started the 1st of August. They start at $15, yet I work as a merchandiser myself and a few other merch guys have been made to work entire shifts on club pickup (still.) Am I justified being mad that I’m not getting paid $15 when I’m doing the exact job someone who makes $15 is earning? I hate doing it too. If I’m going to be forced into if, either pay me what the associates who’s job it is to do it make, or don’t ask me to f—ing do it !!!!

"......additional duties to support the needs of the business" is literally part of everyone's job descriptions. No such thing as "its not my job"
@axj You may have been fortunate with your career but it doesn't work that way any more.
You 'volunteer' to work a different department that has a higher rate just once, then you will be expected to do it all the time. All. The. Time.
And when you don't, it is held against you on your yearly review. Any possibility of advancement is now DOA.
Instead of complaining about working in another department look at it as an opportunity to maybe get into that department to make more money, I started as a cart attendant 15 years ago, worked whatever opportunities were thrown at me, now I’ve been in meat for over 12 years, with overtime I pulled in just over 64 grand last year
They ask me to help but I said no. If they will not pay me for $15 then I will not gonna help. Point.
I’m Merchandiser/receiving but have been working back room for over a year because they won’t train the night back room associate how to work claims.
