Here’s the problem no one has talked about

During Hackett’s awful tenure so many poor personnel decisions were made at levels that really impact the business. This may be irreversible. Those decisions were made to appeal to the various movements over the last three years including very recent actions to appeal to the movement Involving today’s protesters. Thankfully it appears none of the truly key products like pickup trucks have been affected by these really irresponsible decisions.

Jim Farley is an improvement over Jim Hackett kind of like the second year of the Yugo GV was better than the first.

In my area of IT, when there’s negative Pulse feedback, the brown-noser’s present it to upper management as “You’re doing great! It just hasn’t been properly communicated to the GSRs and they misunderstand”. So then we get the Pulse action committees spending 6 months putting out useless informational communications and the scores never change.

It hasn't helped that someone managed to convince senior management that all the bad feedback they were getting from the Pulse was due to people "trying to sabotage and get back at them". Certainly they could NOT be the id–ts people were essentially telling them. Well, look at the mess they made over the past few years. I guess those results were spot on.

The real fallout is what it has done to Personnel. To appease the 5% they have pretty much s—ed the life out if the other 95%. There are so many employees that have lost faith in the company based on the board's refusal to take action earlier. Everyone knows the pulse is like the old sweepstakes letter, it looks good on the outside but no one takes it seriously. Once you get assigned silly tasks to fix all the problems created by bad management that are truly 99% out of your hands, nobody answers the pulse truthfully.
