Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Working From Home

Would it not be beneficial to the company to see how the employees are doing working from home since this is where the company is going? It’s been going on 6 months and there should be plenty of numbers available to see how employees are handling the “work from home” aspect of their job and should give the company a feel of how well employees are doing if in fact this is going to be the new norm.

Many of us (claims employees working in Express offices) were given a survey a few months ago, asking us about working from home and how we felt about it. 95% said they were in favor of it. That was before the layoff announcement, however.

How is that in anyway relevant to the layoffs? Another cretin who likes the sound of his/her/their own inner monologue.

They don’t care, we are going to do whatever they tell us to. I actually like working from home (used to be in the field) but have no idea when/if I’m going back. I’m also still paying for personal use on a company car that has cobwebs on it. They do not give us any information or direction. Even if I don’t get laid off my future is completely uncertain at this company and has been since March

No, the company will roll out any poorly planned and badly executed program if it drives someones numbers to a bonus driven objective. There was a saying in my office I hated in my office "doomed to succeed."
