You work incredibly long hours.. literally covering 2+ jobs at one time. You go through the entire process HR has laid out and even your manager came to the table for you during Calibration Nike has made it an honor to be considered highly successful & even the very rare Exceptionals... Nike. However these individuals... they workEd so damn hard, they literally lived at Nike eating Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner there. Total props for Nike for the 100% PSP (made me feel the good ol feeling when they cared about their employees).... however.. thanks to covid, highly successful & Exceptionals get same anyone who just “phoned it in” all year long. & John Don gets millions for a “covid bonus”. Plus his salary and signing bonus. Does he really need this vs. every one else that bent over backwards to pay his salary? Thanks John. Hope you hear this!

I’m a U band employee and I do not agree with one of the previous user saying you get HS or E (I received HS) by passing off work/responsibilities or just by social engineering. I can talk about myself, key for me was my manager. You need a manager with a spine who can trust you and back/highlight your work/skills in front of the senior management.
brown nosing, hours poured into networking and social engineering instead of "work", passing off responsibility when something goes wrong but stealing other people's valor are what gets you a hs or e
When I got my Exceptional we had lowest PSP in years. I was really upset because I put my work in front of my life priorities for really what? A larger increase on the Merit and PSP? Long story short, work hard... but don't make large life sacrifices, no matter the amount of money, it will never provide what you gave up.
Also, there will always be people who phone it in and/or coast. You'll find that any company. But instinctively, you got exceptional because you care about your work. Never give up on that spirit regardless its for Nike or any other company, that will get you somewhere in life.
Just my 2 cents.
And what's better, are the folks they promoted. There is a number, and you know who you are, that have less experience and understanding of the business they were promoted into compared to the direct reports they lead. This reeks of nepotism! When the economy improves there will be many Managers, Directors, and Sr. Directors moving on... bet on it!
Preach zls+16r7pg91! I'm not going to speak up in meetings any more either. Seriously. Whenever I say 'maybe we could try a,b,c', everyone sneers in my face like it's the dumbest idea ever, but 2 sentences later my supervisor says the. exact. same. thing. and everyone is suddenly falling over themselves to agree. It's happened so many times why can't he give me credit?
1 cuz I am a woman and 2 a lowly admin and 3 if he acknowledged me he'd have to pay me what I'm worth. So sick of being treated like garbage. If anyone thinks the frat-boy yo-bro culture has improved, think again. I wish I could quit but I'm a single mom living paycheck to paycheck so tied to this c-ap job for the near future. I'm pretty sure I won't get laid off since I'm basically doing the work of 3 people, but who knows? Just another thing to stress out about. Hope all you fat-cats enjoy your bonuses.
The band level % payout needs to be reversed.
Why do execs need 45%?
Not as bad as being an A band employee for more than 24 years. Lowest PSP bonuses ever. It’s unfair.
It seems the people who work hard and do the job of 2 to 3 people including that of their managers tend to stay in such position while the ones who take the credit for your work get the promotions. Totally f—ed up. So, going forward I will just do the minimum required and day no to anything that is not my responsibility. I’ll be promoted within 6 months or less; totally f—ed up as well.
