Probably. what he said yesterday was that he said (after a couple of iterations of "no layoffs") that there would be no layoffs until "the ELT team could see the short/long term implications of the pandemic" - I wrote it down. Now he can see the implications - bu88er off.
i hear what your saying abt the whining...its pretty absurd. BUT that being said. there's no way they get 6k ER takers...phase3 is L/R, which is scheduled for Nov- Jan.

ER is not layoffs, on the contrary, the individuals who CHOOSE to take it are benefiting from it.
Same is true for the 80% work offer.

i wonder if CX will be impacted? i can't see how they can go to 4 day work week. and they made money, so why would you lay them off? but i guess it doesn't always have to make sense either.
