Part of the problem is the everlasting comparison between an airport gm and an hle gm. Each one has its own unique purpose. Airport GMs oversee pre Covid a higher number of vehicles and transactions(let me
Remind you of the district 80% drop in travel business), while Hle GMs oversee and participate to the point where they may be the one washing a car to make sure the customer is serviced. 2 different business models, and combining the two didn’t work in the past. It’s getting real fight or flight, but keep in mind these are real live people getting laid off, one not better than the other

Airport GM more useful bc they are over more cars. HLE GM is good to have but it more of an oversight make sure numbers going well hiring etc. The branch mgrs can run their own locations and touch bases with airport gm if need help which this stage be more vehicles or less vehicles.

HLE is the future yet they eliminate an HLE GM. Airport is down a ton yet they keep all those GMs. Hertz is an airport company and always will be. Hope the airport people enjoy HLE paying their checks right now.
Everytime I walk in to an HLE:
"I'm here to pick up my car"
"We dont have anything right now, should be getting some later"
"Ok... Will you call me?"
"Sure"
6 hours later...
"Checking to see if you have my car"
"Oh we were just about to call you. We don't have the Fullsize you reserved but I have a great van waiting for you"
no possible way State Farm re-signs us.

No need for Hle GMs because we lost State Farm. Last month or two for you guys have fun. Airport GMs are going to run the company. That’s how it should be
