the ER PR stunt have gloriously backfired on csco

Also, package docs say, "Cisco's 2020 Elect Plan is intended and designed to be an 'voluntary early retirement incentive plan' consistent with the relevant purposes of the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act . . . " blah blah blah

Whatever you're calling the program, CISCO very publicly called it an EARLY RETIREMENT program in last week's earnings report.

Here's the direct quote: "In the first quarter of fiscal 2021, we initiated a restructuring plan, which includes a voluntary early retirement program"

You must make sure it is exactly 80%.

Not 75%. Not 85%.

ER was just to say they gave you and option before dropping the hammer. Weak PR play, same with the 80% work week

Big miss on Cobra for only 9 mos., no 401k contribution or RSU Extension. But they knows it didn’t have to be that good because LR is next.

a bigger LR means compliance problems for Cisco in places like Cali. lemmings arent playing along as anticipated. big PR and monetary miscalculation by elt team

You think they didn't expect this reaction to the ER? It is part of the plan. The LR will be very poor.

We know because it's an epic failure. Given the previous precedent, and the internal hype, the expectation was already set high. Mismanagement of expectations on a grand scale, especially when the HR and Sales Leadership treated it as a 'Great Deal'.

Agree, they should have kept more people happy to avoid a possible PR nightmare. Evidently WE are not the smart ones. Why even bother if it is only going to be a slap in the face?
