I could not find a way to search for this so bear with me. For the ex T folks, how long after you came off payroll did it take to get your severance payment. was it a check or direct deposit? thanks.

OP here, I got my severance direct deposited today. It shocked me. Its kinda bitter sweet, of course I would prefer to still be employed. I am very actively searching and hopefully I will be successfully soon. For the folks still at ATT, I wish the company well and you will remain employed, I would suggest despite the tension and fear about the future, dont give into to the negativity on this board and elsewhere. Do you job to the best of your ability, if the worse happens, its s—s but pick yourself up and move on. ATT employees a lot of people and there are many more dependent on the success of it. for those who left, lets move on despite how we left. All the best to everyone.

The timeframe seems to be all over the map for folks LDOP on 07/24. One work female friend had it in her paycheck on 07/24. Don't know if her State regs required that or if she was just on the top of someone's pile of exit paperwork. Most others that I have talked to are still waiting.
For the person that asked about being surplused this year and getting another job. I was in the July surplus and started another job here in August. So keep on pushing forward and do not get discouraged. I applied for about 30 jobs and had 3 interviews.
@hyf+16xAXX9q OP here, I fall in a gray area. I started with good ol still buying companies, (SBC), I left after 7 years, came back in 01 to Cingular. I qualify for mr75, but they told me I dont qualify for subsidies because I had an almost 2 year break in service.
it was right about a month, I think it was a check in the mail if I recall. I do know it seemed a HUGE chunk was taken for taxes, but no 401K stuff. It was a bit disappointing.
It also took about a month to roll over my pension into an IRA – once I requested that (It isn't automatic).

My last day was 08/07 and still cannot access the former employee website. I know the login/pass works as I can get into the Surplus Transition Portal. How long does it take on average to get access to the website?
I have access to the former employee site. I will need access for the next two years for w2s.
Question for folks who got surplussed this year. Have any of you landed a new role yet? if yes when were you surplussed and when did you land? How difficult was the road?

Please share more details. Did you call to see if you were eligible to then go qualify for the benefit?
How many years of service, and had you met MR75 by the time they "retired" you?

Thanks for the responses. Making sure my bills are covered until 9/4. I filed for unemployment and so far not a dime. I am in Georgia. Good thing I am not depending on them.
Warning for all, make sure you have money put aside in cash or near cash accounts to take you through for at least 60 days. Unemployment should not to be depended on at all, However its there in case needed. All the best to all. I am seeing some activities on my part job wise, hopefully one will pan out soon. Get this, I qualify for retirement i was automatically retired. I got the chance to order a retirement gift, i did. Got it yesterday. Got a congratulations plaque, I will throw the plaque in the garbage. Retirement was not by choice so WTF should I keep that piece of garbage? THe company is even screwing me out of the medical subsidy. Nah I dont want it. Today is garbage pick up day. See yah:-). All the best to everyone.
