Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Any other tire techs tired of getting harassed

Anyone else tired of constantly being pulled in 8 different directions to cover everyone's stupid f—ng breaks ? Or cover 6 different callouts working other departments and having everyone b–ch at you that you're needed elsewhere at the time ... I'm tiiiired of the "I'm gonna coach you" threats when were literally constantly working and cant keep up with OUR dept plus all of yalls

Discount tires wouldn't even hire you to sweep the lot or put air in a tire.

Do you really think you are the only department that is doing the? Everyone is not only doing their job but several other jobs too. With so many call outs that is the way it going to be until points come back. Be grateful that you are still allowed to work. If that is not something you want to do look for a job elsewhere.

Our tire department is closed but as soon as the guys come in 2 go directly to lot and push carts and 2 go to the registers they already know what they are going to do, the ones that go to lot carry a radio so they can take the tire calls as well as cover gas station breaks and lunches, never have I heard them complain they are grateful they have a job!!

Just saw one of our tire techs walk out of the garage playing a switch. Saw the other 2 goofing off in receiving. When did you post this, on your fifth c-gare–e break?

I am not sure about your tire dept but ours is closed. Now , Sams could have just laid the tire guys off but instead keep them in a job , which just happens to be doing c-ap jobs all over the club. Our tire guys are tired of the chaos too but I have never heard one complain about having a job that pays them when a bunch of people do not.

That is the way Sam’s operates. The fewer people who show up the harder it is. We once had 2 people opening on the floor. Me and one person in fresh. It was ridiculous but we did what we could as fast as we could. I left for greener pastures soon after. If you are unhappy, do something about it.

Tires are expendable. Company should eliminate the department

Well if you guys are that slow and have no members then I don't see a problem with it. You can always go home without pay would be another option. If you don't like that then organize a form a union and that will stop it but until then be a team player and stop complaining I see the merchandisers covering other areas as well and the only difference is you guys got a big raise not long ago then click n pull and now carts and those two areas are the ones merchandisers cover on a daily basis and if anyone has a right to b–ch its them they now have to cover areas that got raises and they did not.
