Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

The healthy way to accept layoffs, and anything in life (Covid, Layoff, divorce etc)

I read these posts and I see most of the posters are in the first 4 stages of change.

1 Denial : This can'r be happening to me. But I feel fine. layoff is no big deal things could be worse
2 Anger: Why me, It's not fair. How can this be happening to me, Who is to blame?
3 Bargaining: I will do anything to turn back time. If only I could have done things differently
Just let me be okay..."

  1. Depression: I'm sad, what's the point. I miss the way life was before
  2. Acceptance : I'm going to be okay. I can take steps to take charge of this and move on.

These are not in any order and you can experience them all at once too

Why not skip straight to acceptance? and move o with your life?

You’d think with all the layoffs recently people would be more resilient but guess not
