Plummeting Morale: Well Done ELT

I got told I was a sales achiever this week, woohoo!

The same day I got told that, because of the type of sales comp plan I’m on, I will be affected by the reduced Company Performance Factor. That means I go into FY21 already in negative figures.

I’m not alone in this. How come the company performance falls 9% yoy yet we get stiffed 28%. Maybe they know H1FY21 will be a bloodbath and are calling it forward.

Either way, it’s another nail in the coffin for company morale. It’s almost as if they want to upset employees enough to make them go elsewhere. Oh, wait...

Was told recently by my director performance is 30% relationships and who you know is 60% of what you get from Cisco...

Cisco should penalize the BU or executives who can't deliver and give more bonus to those have done the good jobs. It is unfair that the bonus is significant basing on the company factor. Webex doing great job than last year but we get paid less. It is very unfair. It should include the BU factors as well. Cisco didn't have significant cuts in executive level for many years. Most of the Cisco executive is doing the status quo job and enjoy fat compensation. They are drag to innovation and future revenue. It is the time to think about LR on executive management level. Less is more.

the goal was to get rid of people
what they failed to understand is good people will leave for new jobs independently because they punish both under and over performance the same ( except for themselves of course). welcome to wokeness and elitism
