Australia press just reported Chevron has reduced staff by 25%. Why don’t our US leaders tell us about the international status? This may give some idea on how round 4 will go in the US. Since Australia is a core area it is not good news. Lots of good people will have been let go in a large cut like this. Any reports on how the process went or if the press reports are true?

I knew when AW went there they were in for a shock at some point. He came in and gutted SJV and will do the same in his next job. He has a very specific function within the company.
When I read something like 25%, I am always asking the question "Which 25% of the work is going away?" Is RM still occurring, or no one cares? Are 25% of the assets being sold? This has never been clear in my 40 year career, except once (now retired).
We knew months ago that ~ 600 would be let go and it was widely reported in the press, so those numbers are not surprising.
