Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Leadership

Hertz leadership is key to its survival.
The leaders need to pay close attention to the operating staff who are actually doing the work and servicing the customers. These folks need incentives to work harder for the company, otherwise it’s over. The top leaders should take pay cuts. Temporary sacrifice if the intent is to save the company. It is important for leaders to show the sacrifices they are willing to make to ensure the company’s survival. Asking the court for more retention bonus sends the wrong message.
My suggestion will be to offer stock incentives to the operations folks (in place of cash since Hertz does not have enough cash). Hertz leaders need to take care of the operations folks first to earn their loyalty and great service. Peace.

Nice to know that others are scamming cars too. Was laid off May, and I have been swapping out unauthorized cars every 40 days. Just show up at the AP at night drop off my car, and pull a car through the car wash. So glad I kept my Hertz uniform to keep a low profile. Loving this benefit.

Be careful what you ask for as across the board significant pay cuts are the bankruptcy judge’s next lever to pull. Equal opportunity slices just around the bend. It will be fun to watch the survivors and stayers scramble.

To Paul and Mark: Thanks for letting me go in June and for the free car I still have. See you in hell.

Yes, the people that are dealing w irate customers because we have no cars and long lines, we need the incentive esp since commission is non existent when rates are cheap and no staff to process the ridiculous long lines every day.
