The reduction in T&E claims during shut down has exposed a, not insignificant, number of claims that could be considered fraudulent. (I choose my words carefully.) Some of these claims have been going on for a while but have been masked by the volume of transactions. Hence the email from on high. Expect that all expense claims this FY will be subject to scrutiny.

What really surprises me is that some individuals apparently continued to claim bogus expenses after lockdown.

People are clearly still expensing during Lockdown and thinking they can get away with it. I just hope their last expense claims are now being investigated...

She was basically just reminding the sales team of our expense policies.
