Layoffs or RIFs are supposed to be either this week or next. Has anyone witnessed or heard of anything happening yet? In my experience most often these types of things happen on Wednesdays....so I know this post may be a bit early.

CTC has laid off and GFCC...this was a massive RIF...
What team(s) do you know are effected?
RIF started today, 2 from my team are gone and a large number under my area. Its firmwide, a friend is waiting to find out if she's being let go right now.

Update: DCE (and probably all Digital) layoffs WILL happen before the end of this week. Seemingly Friday of this week.

Nothing yet so far this morning that I've heard.
Cuts will primarily be in the technology sector but no department is immune to these things sadly. New hires, temporary hires and the like are also not immune. It is not uncommon to see mass hiring expeditions to serve a single purpose and then let them go - especially for JPMC.
Can you provide department affected. We are in Phoenix HUB consumer and actually they been hiring a lots of underwriters, client care specialist support group and closing. Which. I know lots of our job is done in Manila too . But we are been busy
