Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Round 4 position lists

Do not bother going to the old Excel list of jobs - the information is outdated as job owner names have changed from what is listed in BI report versus the old Excel file.

So, pull up a comfy chair and grab a snack while you wait for the positions to load.

In a call earlier the TO said that there will never be the ability to export from BI to Excel. Super duper.

This is just fate’s way of telling employees not to even bother and may the odds forever be in your favor.

@3xdg The reason every ROM event is so poorly executed despite the fact they do it every two years is because the HR superstars leading each effort refuse to leverage best practices from prior events because they think they know best. So the wheel gets reinvented time and time again. Hey, wtf do they care if it makes things more stressful for people already stressed out over the prospect of losing their jobs? Their own employment is secure!

If you are upset over the Power BI fiasco or if you notice jobs are effed up in CTO, go to your manager or BU head so the higher ups in your org can call the TO and raise h-ll. That works everytime because the only people the leads of that sh-t show will listen to are the BU heads. Things may not change but I promise it will stress out the TO when the Opco heads start lighting them up.

I miss Michelle’s perkiness and her endless supply of shawls. She doesn’t love us anymore.

More fodder for evidence when laid off employees file their lawsuits. Chevron makes it so easy to sue them.

@3xdg+173JrNkr because when times are good we all try to forget about the CTO and all the layoff activities.

Here’s another example of the transformation office’s brilliance: apparently some jobs that were supposed to be bundled because they are identical pay grade, location, description, criteria, etc., show up in CTO tool as individual positions with separate job posting number. That means that if there are 3 positions X, you are having to list the 3 separately and therefore wasting spots in your list of 4. How is it possible that we do this sh!t every two years and still manage to f*ck it up every time (this year being the worst, of course)???

This is the new Chevron digital? Sh– just email a flat file (ascii) and everyone could search it in a fraction of time compared to this bull app.

1jbm+173JrNkr Typical Chevron. Promote and place people before their work is done and everyone finds out how much they have been fukcing sh!t up for the last year. Fukc you TO office and all your fukcing pleas for our “patience”

What a cluster. Now jobs listed incorrectly? Nice job TO. As the OP said, enjoy your R&A for doing such a “great” job. I heard that all of the geniuses on that TO project got placed in the last HR selection. Of course.

Not only have incorrect locations and descriptions been posted, but incorrect psg ranges are out there as well and we were told that many of those mistakes won’t be corrected in the CTO tool. Instead, PDRs will be notified, but how the fukc are people supposed to even successfully apply if the data they are looking at is unreliable sh!t? What a cluster. Dear Mr. CEO, where you at? If you are aware how fukced up things are but you’re doing nothing, you’re an indifferent a$$hole. If you aren’t aware how fukced up things are, you’re an incompetent a$$hole.

Jobs are vanishing off the list. Spoke with Job owner, reply was no change position still open. Great time looking for jobs that disappear when you go to apply.

The fact that a multi-billion dollar corporation can’t get its sh!t together to accomplish something as basic as providing its employees a list of jobs speaks volumes about how messed up we are. This is squarely on leadership’s shoulders - SHAME ON YOU!

I guess we just wait until next week when jobs are loaded in CTO, yet another unreliable tool.
