Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

PM Merchandising

How many clubs out there actually are getting out at 11:30 with all trucks offloaded, ran, and the floor dropped for AM?

What are you guys doing differently to get out at 11:30?

How does the sales floor look?

Uh having a forklift license is a requirement of working in the backroom. Otherwise, you are worthless because you can not possibly do your job. WTF

Our PM shift is next to useless, I would love a club where they actually do something besides zone. Our PM associates zone right up to 11:20, Oh wait they do water and sometimes paper (you know a job that should take maybe an hour), but nothing else.

We've been getting out on time (and even up to a half-hour early) 90% of the time since the beginning of February. The times we don't get out on time are usually due to being shorthanded with callouts or having the odd special project thrown our way, and even then, it's extremely rare that we go more than thirty minutes past our standard end time. We're running at least two DCs each and every night, the frozen/dairy gets tag-teamed so as to reduce the amount of time spent getting rid of it, and any time receiving needs assistance toward the end of the night, there's at least one person on a lift that can join in. Whatever the case, the store is fully zoned, all the end caps are done 100%, and paper and water are always completely done. All in all, things have been going extremely well at this store the last eight months.

Depending when the F/c comes. So if it comes while there is still members in the club, we have the one freezer person and the 3pm crew start pulling it to the f/c while the receiving person unloads it. If it comes after all the members leave, the receiving associate and one 3pm associate start using the forklift to the f/c.

We usually have between 70-110 picks a night, as soon as zoning is done which is about by 830-9. 3pm to 1130 crew stocks about 30-40 pallets a night. One eveing lead starts dropping pets/hydration while the other lead drops paper/chem. One lead drops the club while the other lead helps or drops 48/37. we have all the associates start in one area than all move over to the next area, they get done about 10:45 and we assign different associates to either do trash/pallets,bin up and start sweeping. As for the backroom the one pm associate will unload the DC if there is one in the back. As soon as the last member leaves, the 3 pm receiving associate starts running the DC out. We are out by 1130 latest is 1145.

Our pm crew does the DC trucks and out F/C trucks. Our am crew drops there own freight to stock. They have a hard time getting freight ran to floor. So our am crew gets to fun of running the left overs. AM crew does between 3 and8 trucks on AM almost every day. Runs freight until we open. 7 AM open times on TU&TH really hurt that. Our PM crew ALWAYS leaves the dock a mess, dirty floors trash out, bail needs made, ECT.

Have had a night shift at my club since April. PM back room associate still not trained on claims. Befor we got a small night crew shift back pm shift would leave at 11:30 pm and leave the club trashed for am shift to clean up.

Ours pm will unload Martin trucks and run until time to leave if they have time, pm floor crew does drop list, morning shift runs anything left on dock and what is unloaded until club opens ALL backroom has lift liscence it's a must to be back there. Ther is no blocks on scheduling so if ther is trucks for pm backroom they unload, we have to pm backroom but night manager always takes one to the floor which is the one that's suppose to do claims as well but he only does claims when the other one is off and he's in backroom, rules are not followed

Our store unloads in the morning or leaves everything in receiving and it’s brought out in the AM

Your pm crew unloads the trucks?? Not mine. All unloading done on the am shift. Also 2 of our backroom associates don't even have their lift license...
