have you noticed the large influx of new hires just before the big layoffs ?
you are training your replacement and don’t even know it.
layoffs will hit you once they are fully onboarded and trained by you!
they won’t layoff these newly minted hires, but you will

one of our tech leads refuse to give root(admin) pwd for routers out to new hires. keep bad mouth them continuously.. some is true, some is fake, we don't see him a nice person at the end.
You get a $100 connected recognition for being a team player - cheap OJT for your replacement.
They just did this in collab. How do we stop this loophole scam ?
SP made three new hires in India last week.
Common scam in high tech.
Hire H1b get them trained by citizens then layoff the American worker
It's great to mix in a few younger new hires in the layoff, easy method to lower the average age of employees impacted.
Those new hires are young and will be LR'ed too so it does not appear Cisco is discriminating against older workers.
This is unbelievably true. At another IT company in RTP, I had a coworker who was extended 90-days layoff to train his replacement in Brazil. Because he was tapped, he was free to find another position within the company and the only approval necessary was his HR advocate. The second week in Brazil training his replacement, he was offered a position. The HR advocate coordinated the job transfer and return travel home. 2 months later when the replacement didn't know the job skill transfer never got done threw a fit. The manager threatened him verbally over the phone and email. The co-worker retained all the information, sent it to HR, and threatened civil action if HR didn't properly correct the situation. His HR advocate asked what he was looking for and he told them he feels unsafe in the company with his manager employed there and feared retaliatory actions against him from the company. The manager was terminated within days and this coworker stayed with the company for 15 years because he could get away with anything and any actions against him could be construed as retaliatory. He worked a very easy 15 years until her retired.
Interesting
