If we have another 8-10,000 to cut (which seems to be a fair number, from what I’ve heard) there’s almost no way they can do that without cutting businesses off. Also, wholesales changes to our way of operating, like taking some sales virtual. Plus other Opex reductions like using a lot more outsourcing and off-shoring, for example by moving PM and TME functions to India (or wherever). Plus maybe skipping some geographies with low margin or geo risk. Maybe shut up shop in the China market?
So, personal performance will be a factor in some groups. But in many cases, it will be wrong place, wrong time.
