Now, it's "Thou shall not have a runner." And you must send any extra cashiers out to zone.

They lost cashiers before because of this dumb stuff.
I don't care if they are getting paid 15 an hour. No one can keep up the pace of 4 seconds, per item across the scanner, and spend eight hours lifting heavy items out of a cart, only to put them back in again. People aren't machines. People get tired.
No, they can't open all the registers because of covid. Only every other one.
This is the first step in eliminating cashiers they get you used to working on the floor or club pickup because if you are worth keeping that is where you will end up. The raises were to ensure enough cashiers to make it through the holidays and we all know job cut's are coming soon.
Right!! And now they have lazy cos and managers in front of you watching you work with the huge flat beds and carts!!! While cashiers are helping every where else,,, floor associates are taking 45 min breaks, I don’t think that’s nice at all!!!
Honestly this is better, now they can open up all of the registers and the extras can help on the floor, club pick up, or membership. Hey, can’t complain they all got a pay raise. 🤷🏽♂️
