Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Time to say goodbye

There are many people I will miss, and it’s too bad I can’t name some of you due to site rules. I’ve been with the company a long time, you could say I’m older than dirt - and twice as dusty. I’ve experienced many changes from when I first started here and I’m sure all of us have experienced changes we didn’t agree with. The biggest one for me was the company culture. I guess I’m old fashioned enough in regards to respect for myself - and for others. Experiencing how horrible it is day in/day out is something I no longer want so I'm moving on. I wish you all the best!

Agreed, I got the notice today and hours later was asked by another Director to email my resume to them. I sent it but I know I don’t want to continue working at the T plus I would lose the 6 months of pay. I know there’s better out there as I’ve had friends get surplussed that continue to tell me it’s a blessing in disguise.

If you don't need to work anymore, then there's a lot of opportunities out there for you to seek out. If you do need to work, then good luck.

Give it a few days...I really didn't miss it at all. Have a handful of friends I still talk to. Work friends disappear when you no longer work with them.

Can't blame you one bit! You shouldn't be consumed by the unfortunate events that have shaped this company and forced it into a toxic culture that is no longer tolerable!
