Regardless, similar concept.. All in all, MOM isn't going to do anything for the ones let go. Anyone counting on it shouldn't hold their breath.
@ duw+174SpDdc not even close since Malaysia is its own country and we are talking about Singapore. MoM is the Ministry of Manpower and Singapore has given a lot of money to companies these past few months to stop retrenchments. By using the PIP Exxon is skirting the rules.
Ministry of Malaysia.. It's synonymous to saying the Feds are investigating a company in America.
What is "MOM" ?
You old timers have rode through the good times and have had plenty of time to save up enough. If you have not then you only have to blame yourself!
Yeah. MOM investigation isn't going to amount to anything.
Why should years of service mean anything? That just means you can be an overpaid employee collecting more than someone fresh (and potentially better performance).
Length of service has no meaning; only relevant metric is performance and it’s a performance management system.
