Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

What is a Marketing lead? ...And who are they supposed to be leading? If any club still has actual Marketing, there is probably just one other person in Marketing. Does that one person need a "lead"? 🤣

My Co- manager told me " just hold out for the payout" guess they may know something after all!!

Wireless didn’t get severance at our store, they had to either pick another position and the pay rate there or leave

I left after 19 years due to the writing on the wall. After they gave the wireless people severance but I was coded electronics to save payroll right before that. So yeah, got screwed.

All of you are complaining about Sam’s, What about the paycheck you got every 15 days to pay your bills and put food on your table...Yes it is messed up all the c-ap we have to deal with, from favoritisms to lazy managers and leads.. solution quit find yourself a better job and be grateful you had a paycheck every 15 days now move on!! Just a reminder wherever you go will be c-ap p–p lol

I got out after almost 24 years, the only thing I miss is the pay check (but not always) !! When I started for this company they would give merit raises and it could be 2 or 3 times a year. I got one big one from the club GM once that was a nice surprise those were the good old days. Now the 2% across the board was a joke, loser manager's kid's that don't give a dam about anything I had it . Merit raises plus regular raises really added up, they want to get rid of the old timers so bad because of there pay & they know the in's & out's of the company ,the managers don't like that. Congratulations on leaving & being stress free I am.

I’m Happy for you! After being there for 7 years I can only imagine. Everybody getting Pay Raises but Marketing Leads. I left Sam’s Club 3 years ago an don’t REGRET IT AT ALL!!!! I’m with Costco an I feel like they valve their associates. Apply for a position at Costco!!! Good luck

I’m putting in my 2 weeks notice in today. I’m so sick of Sam’s Club. Been in my position for 10 years. Training the new associates with the same pay. Good bye Sam’s Club. You made the right decision for you to be there for 7 years. Good luck

Has anyone on front end got your raise to $15 hr ?

The way the team leads talk to fellow co-workers, them being deceitful to members, the GM and assistant managers doing nothing to tame their rude Bulldogs, hours being changed all the time to suit the team leads and their buddies AND to pi** people off intentionally in hopes of them quitting and not being able to get unemployment and them not offering a severance package...I could go on. But this virus was the final straw....every single Sam's and Walmart was and is so unsanitary. So choices being to either stay and listen to the BS orders inside or go out in the field, should they decide to have real marketing again and not even knowing what you are walking into in regards to this virus. The anxiety and stress was NOT worth it. My health and family are way more important than their so called "needs of the business". How about you?

I have news for you nobody cares, your position has been done when someone leaves the position they do not replace them just like with the jewelry lead but at least you left on your terms.

Anyone can leave that place anytime. I think some people are just afraid of making a change in their life. I guaranty you that anywhere is better than what that place has become over the last 7 or so years. If you are a buddy with the GM or the front end or membership (so-called) leads and don't mind being deceitful to the members, you will be fine there. But some of us take pride in our work. It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE! And Sam's and Walmart both lost that concept years ago. I got out after 25 years and so much better now. I wish you the best!
