Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

PIP and Bonus

Joined last year as experienced hire, still on probation, then got PIP-ed. Absolutely no mention on parts done well, but management does seem to remember the tiniest mistakes. At this point more concerned about bonus.

Can someone kind soul please advise whether I am entitled to the bonus if I resign now. Would rather resign than getting PIP-ed — what a f—ng insult

We have a fixed bonus of 3 months. Prorated on top of the PIL 3 months that you get. Not a bad deal.. I hope they don’t cut our 3 months bonus.. suppose to be our benefit during a recession..

OP could well be from outside the US. XOM does pay an annual bonus here, at least from where I am from

There is no bonus (no one is paying out a bonus to sever your employment). OP is obviously confusing the severance pay (3 mo salary when taking PIL instead of PIP).

I thought there was no bonus at XOM.

From what I have heard, if you are MPT and spent at least 6 months in the company this year, you are entitled to the bonus (pro-rated according to your months of service of course). Not sure how PIP would affect this though.

What if you decide to leave EM halfway PIP, would you receive your remaining years of vacation days or not ?

If you resign now (past 50% point and can't convert to PIL) you won't get the remainder of the 3 months from when started PIP. Sorry, your SOL. Needed to make up your mind a month ago.

If you are so passionate about not taking PIP, why did you take it to begin with? Or are you only now realizing that you have no hope in passing?
