I heard Dell is doing rounds of reduction all the way through 2021? Is that true?

They are going to lay off everyone that doesn't work in VMWare was announced today

I think so.
announcement was open ended.and usually when a company does layoffs they usually follow with a announcement or email to existing employees.
It seems strategic. now we will enter a short layoff cooling period so those who chose to go on their own can.
