Manager tells you then you get a memo from HR and it goes on from there.
Just heard from my manager I have been laid off. 45 day notice period starts. Getting severance in line with policy.

How are layoffs communicated? My manager was on leave for last few weeks, does that mean I am still at risk when he is back at work?

we were told by Jamie earlier, that no layoffs during covid. what BS I have 45 days to look for a job with Chase, part of me want to leave them. Been with them 11 years VP level few roles in different LOBS
There is a hiring freeze, NO hiring new personnel.
Maybe Jamie Dimon may be under financial stress and needs a new multi-million dollar vacation home, and doing RIFs calculations!
