Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

The Time to Unionize is Now

I was let go after over 20 years of 12 hour days and weekends. If there’s any take away from this process, it’s y’all need a union to support the workers. This company is headed to overseas processing and AI anyway. Unionize now survivors! Get some real support. You got nothing to loose but more of your pride if someone doesn’t start one up. India even needs support. They treat them like a sweat shop.

I have worked at a unionized company and it was nice for getting health benefits, but every time raises were negotiated it was followed by some layoffs, some get more and some get gone, and then of course you have the dues. I left as I was tired of the union BS.

Unionize so we get paid for the "implied" OT we have to do to get our daily points. We are being taken advantaged of to get our daily point totals. For those that have been here for a while, remember the time they had us hourly for a year or two and you got OT for over 8 hours of work? We should be pushing for that because the only way to get 18.75 points a day, we have to work more than 8 hours to achieve that.

Attempts to unionize with this company is futile. Every time it has been squashed like a bug and those attempting fired. This company does not tolerate or even allow discussions of unionization.

Unionization is long overdue. Work hours oppressive
Unlikely to happen but absolutely warranted

This company has become the epitome of corporate greed. Expect more and more for less pay. Top officials keep getting raises, and more jobs going to exploited workers in India.
